John Onwuchekwa

John Onwuchekwa is the teaching pastor of Cornerstone Church, a church in one of Atlanta’s oldest inner-city neighborhoods, and he currently serves as a council associate for the Gospel Coalition. John frequently speaks at colleges, conferences, and churches across the country and internationally. John holds a master’s in Christian Education from Dallas Theological Seminary, and is currently pursuing his Doctorate in Church Leadership and Community Witness from Emory University’s Candler School of Theology.

He has been married for 14 years to his beautiful wife Shawndra and they are proud parents of a beloved baby girl.

John’s latest project, Portrait Coffee, is a coffee company that exists to empower and equip Atlanta natives and residents with genuine career and life opportunities in the world of coffee. The mission of Portrait is to pour a new narrative, using coffee as a platform to elevate black and brown people in industries where they are underrepresented. They have been featured on Good Morning America, CBS News, Fortune Magazine. They have collaborated with Vans Sneakers & Keurig and can be found on Target.Com.
