We used these for Easter Sunday dinner. We went around the table and each person opened an egg and read the corresponding page in the book. The adults as well as children enjoyed a new way to present the Ressurrection of Jesus. The eggs told the story so well, and it was exciting when we got to the last EMPTY egg because the tomb was empty and we celebrated Jesus is Risen!

My mom had bought these years ago & they are a wonderful tool. I've used them every year and even for a Children's church activity. I really like the way the old vertical book read better though. What the symbol reminds us of, the egg color, Scripture at the top then the explanation. The old book seems to have a lot more info in it than the new horizontal book. My kids are alot older and the older version is geared more towards all ages, even with more items & corresponding scriptures that one could include.

I have used these with lots of kids-- family, neighbors. You need to tailor the little handbook to the age of the kids--- it's a little long for some-- but a great tool to put the Truth of Easter into little minds and hearts.

I happened across Resurrection Eggs while in Texas a couple of years ago. I had never seen them before or since. I have enjoyed having them for my grandchildren and reviewing the story of Easter. What a great way to bring the religious nature of Easer to the forefront, using the Easter Eggs that society gets caught up in! It has been a joy for us as well as our grandkids, many thanks!

I have taught the message of the Resurrection to my granddaughter. She is three now. She knows what it is in each egg. She feels so sad when she opens the whip, crown, spare, etc. She feels so sorry for her Jesus. I also have used it with my Sunday school class of 8 and 12 years old. They understand the real meaning of Resurrection more than ever. We serve a Risen Lord!!!!
